Fairfield Art Walk 2 is a 2.5-hour walk event that features 2 large public sculptures and the natural beauty of Darebin Creek.
Today, local sculptor Damian Curtain walked the Alphington section of the walk.
The journey included ‘The Nest’ Sculpture and many rocky features of Darebin Creek.
What impressed Damian was that The Nest sculpture ‘”looks like it belongs here‘’ within the landscape and he appreciated ‘’seeing things that I haven’t seen before’’ in a park/ creek setting, which is now lush with recent spring rains. What also stood out were close encounters with many water birds in the ponds that surround The Nest, including species of Cormorants and Ducks.
